About This Place

Nestled in the heart of San Diego’s scenic waterfront at 789 W Harbor Dr Suite 158, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood is the quintessential destination for lovers of fine dining, exceptional seafood, and live jazz. This upscale New American restaurant masterfully blends the elegance of a classic steakhouse with a vibrant oyster bar and a cocktail lounge that hums with soulful jazz melodies. The refined yet inviting atmosphere immediately sets the tone for an unforgettable evening, whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply craving a luxurious night out.

Eddie V’s menu is an exquisite showcase of prime surf and turf that invites you to savor each bite with anticipation. Imagine the silky richness of their Jumbo Lump Crab Cake paired perfectly with the decadence of Butter Poached Lobster Mashed Potatoes. Or delight in the bold flavors of the Morel-Crusted Lamb Chops and the signature Oz Center Cut Filet Mignon, grilled to your exact preference. The seafood offerings are equally compelling — from the delicate Georges Bank Scallops to the seductive Chilean Sea Bass Hong Kong Style, each dish is crafted with precision and an eye for exquisite flavor balance.

The raw bar is a stand-out feature that seafood aficionados rave about, boasting boutique oysters and The Shellfish Tower, an impressive cascade of chilled, fresh shellfish that’s as much a feast for the eyes as it is for the palate. Don’t miss their Maine Lobster Bisque or the Maine Lobster Tacos for an unexpected twist on lobster fare that brings freshness and richness in perfect harmony.

Complementing the culinary lineup is a thoughtfully curated beverage menu. Whether you prefer a classic cocktail like the Smoked Old Fashioned with Basil Hayden's Bourbon, a refreshing and meticulously balanced Perfect Patrón Margarita, or the subtly complex flavors of The Caviar Martini, Eddie V’s mixologists craft drinks that elevate your dining experience. For those seeking something lighter or non-alcoholic, the Virtuous options like the Straight & Narrow Seedlip Spice 94 concoction offer an inspired alternative that doesn’t compromise on flavor or sophistication.

Beyond the food and drinks, the ambiance springs to life with live jazz performances that gently pulse through the space, enhancing every bite and sip. As Dennis G. shared, the staff’s hospitality allows guests to truly relax and immerse themselves in the music without feeling rushed, creating a rare and treasured dining environment. Whether you’re savoring the warm Belgian Chocolate Cake paired with vanilla bean ice cream on a romantic evening or sharing the Truffle Mac and Cheese with friends, every detail feels thoughtfully designed to delight your senses.

Cristal W. fondly recalled how the team went above and beyond for a birthday celebration, attending to both adults and children with effortless grace. Made a reservation for my husbands 45th birthday. When we got there I checked us in. They seated us very quickly and when we got to the table, it was beautifully decorated with rose petals, and confetti. Our server was very accommodating as we had our 3yr and 4yr old. He made sure our questions were answered, gave us the specials, recommended a good whine for my liking. The kids asked him questions and he was happy to joke with them and answer questions. Our food came out pretty quick as well. Everything was delicious, didnt need any seasoning whatsoever... the place itself was beautiful. All the staff was really nice and welcoming. Dessert was amazing. I think we will be celebrating here more often

Their surf and turf special was pretty solid, as well as their mashed potatoes. I especially enjoyed the live music, our waiters' hospitality, and the atmosphere inside the restaurant. Overall, a great experience with good food and good vibes.

An absolute vibe!!! Eddie V's is everything!!! I was there with a soon to be husband and wife celebrating thier upcoming nuptials. The decor and ambiance are unmatched! My favorite piece had to be the wine wall. Our server was knowledgeable, sweet and funny. Our order came quick. THE DRINKS AND FOOD ARE UNMATCHED!!!! The Love Eddie is a must have! I had shrimp cocktail, lamb chops and asparagus and BAAAABY WHEN I SAY I WAS SATISFIED!!! You pay for what you get, so with that being said, the prices are absolutely reasonable!

The food was wonderful and the staff was incredibly friendly. I started with appetizers while enjoying the live jazz band. I especially appreciated that the staff allowed me to linger and continue listening to the music after I was finished eating; I never felt rushed or pressured to leave.

Where do I begin... Over the 4th of July, my wife and I traveled to San Diego with some close friends to celebrate their 50th anniversary. One evening, we chose to dine at Eddie V’s—and it turned out to be the perfect decision. We started with a trio of appetizers: raw oysters, crab cakes, and ahi tuna tartare. Each one was absolutely outstanding and paired beautifully with the stunning ocean view, which set the tone for the rest of the evening. For our entrées, we enjoyed filet mignon with scallops, lamb chops, truffle mac and cheese, and au gratin cheddar potatoes. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. To top it all off, we shared the Meyer lemon tart for dessert—and just thinking about it still makes my mouth water! Our server (forgive me for not recalling her name) made the night even more special by surprising our friends with a beautiful dessert and a heartfelt “Happy Anniversary.” Her service was impeccable—attentive yet unobtrusive. She anticipated every need without being overbearing, which is a rare talent and something we all deeply appreciated. The entire experience left us smiling. One thing is certain: we won’t return to San Diego without coming back to Eddie V’s. It was a truly memorable meal and a perfect way to celebrate a very special occasion. - Thank you all!

Wife and I ate here before a concert at the Shell and enjoyed the Point Judith Calamari and Mini Filet Sandwiches with an Old Fashioned and Blueberry Lemondrop Martini (not on menu, made by special request). Delicious and tasty appetizers and the drinks were well made and satisfying. Old Fashioned prep was authentic and had a nice classy touch.

This was an amazing experience. We went for our 11th anniversary, which was a perfect choice. The environment is enjoyable, live music was a vibe, and the food is phenomenal. Service was a exquisite, really felt honored to be apart of this experience. They left roses and a card for our celebration and complimented some treats to celebrate with us. Service alone was unmatched. I had the filet and my wife had the filet & shrimp, we were completely satisfied. Don't miss out, book your reservation soon!

The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. Everyone was so helpful I can't wait to go back for more! My only complaint is that they are so far from my home in Nebraska . Just looking at the picture has got my mouth watering yum! They also had really good live music the night I went. I felt like a vip dining out eating incredible food while listening to that smooth voice.
